Abstract:

How and why are products localized? The analysis of interviews with product managers showed: Main difficulties in internationalization exist in product functionality and user requirements. Product features are also influenced by cultural values, e.g. in Germany, a high value for expertise and a high technology orientation influence the final design of products.
