Tips for Successful International Evaluation of Localized User Interfaces

Abstract:

After years of performing usability evaluations on localized user interfaces in foreign countries, it is clear that the process is not trivial. This paper highlights a set of issues that usability experts can address when testing a product in a foreign country with non-English speakers. It also presents tips for improving the testing process and the quality of the test results.
